Step-1: Go the income tax e-filing official website

Step-2: Choose User Type
Choose what type of user for whom income tax e-filing registration is required. These option will display and you can choose for yourself like an individual, Hindu Undivided Family – H.U.F, Other than individual/H.U.F, External Agency, Chartered Accountants, Tax Deductor and Collector, etc.
Step-3: Enter Your Basic Details

- Mobile Number (not required for Non-Residents)
Step-4: Get Email Verification
For completing the registration, an email be sent to the taxpayer’s email id for verification. Email verified and enter the following details, including the password to be used while e-filing of income tax:-

- Current Address
- Subscribe to Mailing List
- Enable Alerts, Reminder, and Notifications
Step 5: Activate e-Filing Income Tax Account
After completing the above-cited details, the taxpayer will get a message, “Registration Successful” and an email will be sent again to the taxpayer along with an activation link and a mobile SMS with OTP and activate it by using OTP.
After completing the above steps, the income tax e-filing website will activate, and you will be ready for income tax e-filing in the future.
How to login to the income tax India efiling account?
After completing registration yourself on the income tax efiling web portal. You can visit the incometaxindiaefiling gov in the official website, where you will see a ‘Login Here’ button on the top right side at the homepage and click it.
You will be redirected to the login page where you entered your username (username is your pan number), income tax login password which is created earlier by you and to fill-up the same captcha code, which is as shown in the image and click on the login button.
